What is the Strategic Ventures Group?

Launched in 2018, the Strategic Ventures Group, brings together investment professionals from large health systems. Every month members convene to learn best practices from one another, review exclusive investment deal flow, and make syndicate investments into leading digital health companies. We tailored the open innovation model to the strategic VC space, and use an evergreen “deaflow” funnel to get investment opportunities on the table. We never charge founders or skim their equity in exchange for giving them amazing pitch opportunities.

Member Activities

Each month, we host:

• One deep dive into an investment theme (90 mins)
• two informal member open mics,
• and weekly deal flow features.

Events

We also deliver larger custom events, like the curated speed networking events we hosted with Inova Health system (2018) and Hospital for Special Surgery (2019). These were curated matchmaking days; founders stayed at tables & investors rotated.
