In 1727, Benjamin Franklin founded the original Junto in Philadelphia. This diverse group of leading tradesmen & budding merchants met weekly to exchange knowledge, share networks, and create new opportunities for their mutual benefit.
Junto Members began meetings by choosing from a series of questions and sharing their answers with the group. These questions were not profound by themselves, but their effect on knowledge sharing & idea generation was.
This single group was responsible for many of the social innovations we take for granted today. These innovations included the first volunteer firefighting company, lending library, and public hospital.
At Junto Health, we have adapted the original 24 questions to fit today’s world of health tech and use them to start our Summits.
